Pocket Movie Making Competition -2023

The Pocket Movie Making Competition for B.Ed. students was held on the 7th of October 2023 at the seminar hall. The competition aimed to provide a platform for aspiring educators to showcase their creativity and storytelling abilities through short films. A total of 12 movies participated in this event, making it a lively and engaging experience for both participants and the audience.
The competition commenced at 10.30am with great enthusiasm from the participants. Each team had the task of creating a compelling short film within a limited time frame of 10 minutes. The event was well-organized by the Literary Club of Department of Education. The audience was full of enthusiasm.
Twelve teams of B.Ed. students participated in the competition, each bringing their unique perspectives and storytelling styles. The teams had the freedom to choose their themes and genres, which resulted in a diverse range of films. This diversity added depth and excitement to the event.
Judges of the event, Dr.R Gayatri Iyengar and Mrs. Yashswee Lonkar evaluated the films. They assessed the entries based on various criteria, including storytelling, direction, cinematography, sound design, and overall impact.
Winners: After a meticulous evaluation process, the following teams emerged as winners:
First Place: “ Ginti” by Semester III, Group 3.
Second Place: “ Where is God?”, by Semester III, Group 5.
Third Place: 1. “The Classroom” by Semester III, Group 8.
- “The Dog’s Life” by Semester I Group 2.
The winning teams were awarded certificates, recognizing their outstanding contributions to the competition.
The Pocket Movie Making Competition not only provided a platform for creativity but also offered valuable learning experiences. Participants had the opportunity to work under time constraints, collaborate with their team members, and apply their theoretical knowledge of filmmaking in a practical setting.
